How are the winners selected?
We have an extensive judging panel that consists of some of the most respected and experienced experts in the virtual reality industry. Every nomination is judged by our specialist panel on a points based system. See our list of judges here.

When will the winners be announced?
The winners for 2019 will be announced on the 11th November 2019 at the VR Awards in Central London.
Is there any help or guidance I can receive?
Yes, we are hosting free advance briefing webinars for nominees to understand the criteria better and ask questions. Each webinar will include two case studies and presentations from previous finalists.
Is there a fee for nominating?
Entry Fee – £149 + VAT
You may enter as many categories as you like; however, each entry will be treated as a separate entry and the entry fee must be paid for each category which you enter.
Your entry fee goes towards supporting our numerous not-for-profit endeavours, which include nurturing new talent, inspiring audiences and celebrating our industries innovation in VR, AR and immersive industries. Nomination fees are non refundable.

About the VR Awards
What is the VR Awards?
Hosted by AIXR (The Academy of International Extended Reality), the independent not-for-profit trade body for the immersive industry, the VR Awards celebrates outstanding achievement in the virtual reality industry.
Attendees include some of the biggest names in VR and offers a night of entertainment and celebration, looking back on the previous year of achievement.

What can I expect on the night?
There will be 300 influential international attendees on the night. You can expect a champagne reception, exquisite 3 course dining, live entertainment, the award ceremony itself, and a VIP after party.
VIP after party access can be purchased alongside your tickets.
Is there a specific dress code necessary to attend?
Yes, the dress code for the VR Awards is traditional black tie.
I’m not a UK resident. Is a visa required to visit?
Visa-free travel is still in place for citizens of members states of the European Union. If you want to check if you need a UK visa please do so here: https://www.gov.uk/check-uk-visa
What do I need for check in at VR Awards?
Your ticket information will be emailed to you directly, so please print this or bring your phone so we can check you in.
Tickets must be shown at entry. If you do not have your ticket, you may be asked for ID for proof of identity.
Do finalist nominees get tickets?
As spaces are very limited, nominees are required to arrange their own tickets to the ceremony.

Can I transfer the name on my ticket to someone else?
In some instances we may be able to transfer the name on your ticket. This is handled only with a case by case basis.
I can no longer attend. Can I receive a refund?
Unfortunately we are unable to issue refunds for the VR Awards, we appreciate your understanding.
