How do I nominate?
Nominations for the 7th International VR Awards will open on 24th April 2023. You can stay up to date with our next steps by registering interest here.
How are the winners selected?
All nominations are processed through a series of voting stages, including a shortlisting round and a finalist round. VR Game of the Year and VR Content Creator of the Year also have a public vote round.

When will finalists be announced?

When will the winners be announced?

Is there any help or guidance I can receive?
In the first VR Awards Nominations Webinar 2022, we were joined by Eric Shamlin (Media Monks) and Andrew Kostuik (Studio Norcat).
In our second VR Awards Nominations Webinar 2022, our host Chris Gunby (AIXR) was joined by judge Ed Greig (Deloitte) and former winners Aida Otaola (Virtualware) and Gonçalo Antunes (Masters of Pie).
Is there a fee for nominating?
Entry Fee – £225+ VAT
You may enter as many categories as you like; however, each entry will be treated as a separate entry and the entry fee must be paid for each category that you enter.
Your entry fee goes towards supporting our numerous not-for-profit endeavors, which include nurturing new talent, inspiring audiences, and celebrating our industry’s innovation in VR, AR, and immersive industries. Nomination fees are non-refundable.
- AIXR Members can claim a discounted nomination fee. Access this via the AIXR Platform.
- If you are a registered charity, please contact us and you will receive 25% off entry fees – Excluding The AIXR Social Impact Award.
- Submissions to the Content Creator of the Year category are free, and subject to a selection process before finalists are announced. Please review all information provided to ensure you are eligible.
- Nominations for The AIXR Social Impact Award are subsidised to £110 + VAT
About the VR Awards
What is the VR Awards?
Hosted by AIXR (The Academy of International Extended Reality), the independent not-for-profit trade body for the immersive industry, the VR Awards celebrates outstanding achievement in the virtual reality industry.
Attendees include some of the biggest names in VR and offers a night of entertainment and celebration, looking back on the previous year of achievement.

When and where is the VR Awards?
The 7th International VR Awards will be held on the 30th November 2023, live at De Doelen, Rotterdam.

How do I qualify for a press pass?
Please visit https://aixr.org/press/accreditation/ to become a offically accreditated as press with the Academy.
What can I expect on the night?
This year the VR Awards will be celebrating its 7th year of gathering the globe’s biggest innovators to recognize ground-breaking projects that redefined the immersive world.
This year we find ourselves back at de Doelen, Rotterdam fresh from our successful return to a live and ‘in person’ VR Awards show in 2022 and determined to make this one our biggest yet!
